  • Job Summary

    As an Area Recovery Manager at Light Finance, you will play a critical role in leading recovery operations and ensuring timely collections. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5-6 Branch Recovery Managers (BRMs), implementing effective recovery strategies and maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines. This role demands strong leadership, negotiation skills and extensive field engagement.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage a team of 8-10 Branch Recovery Managers (BRMs) to ensure timely collections and achieve recovery targets.
    • Implement effective collection strategies, including hard collections, field visits and customer interactions.
    • Conduct frequent branch visits to monitor collections, assess field operations and ensure adherence to recovery processes.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines while handling recovery operations.
    • Provide training and guidance to BRMs to enhance recovery performance and resolve escalations effectively.
    • Maintain accurate records of collection performance, delinquency trends and customer interactions.
    • Extensive travel required for branch visits and on-ground recovery operations.

  • Experience

    Minimum 5+ years in Microfinance (MFI), Small Finance Bank (SFB) or Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC)

  • Desired Profile

    • Proven experience in collections and recovery management within the MFI, SFB or NBFC sector.
    • Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
    • Ability to handle escalations, negotiate with customers and drive recovery efficiency.
    • Willingness to travel extensively for field operations and branch monitoring.
